Sara Day Baker is a licensed physical therapist, founder of Inspire Health, and a passionate advocate for movement-based healing. With a Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Sara has dedicated her career to bridging science with personalized physical therapy care. Her clinical focus includes musculoskeletal rehabilitation, spinal conditions, Pilates-based rehabilitation, and the treatment of complex movement disorders—including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), hypermobility spectrum disorders, and other connective tissue conditions.

Sara is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor and Rehab Instructor Trainer. Teaching other healthcare professionals how to utilize STOTT PILATES® in their clinical practices fulfills her desire to strengthen the connection between Pilates and the physical therapy profession. She has been integrating Pilates into her physical therapy practice since 2003, using it as a powerful tool for restoring joint stability, neuromuscular function, strength, and body awareness. Her advanced training also includes dry needling, osteopathic manual therapy, strain counterstrain, Scoliopilates, Neurodynamics, Redcord Neurac, and real-time ultrasound for core and pelvic stability.

Inspire Health, which Sara founded in 2005, is a collaborative physical therapy and wellness studio grounded in evidence-based practice and whole-person care. Over the years, Sara has had the opportunity to lecture for physical therapy university programs, present at national and international healthcare conferences, speak to local organizations and groups, and contribute to media stories on spine health, Pilates, and fitness. Sara’s professional journey is deeply personal. She lives with and actively manages hypermobility and has undergone spinal surgery herself—an experience that deepens her empathy and insight as a practitioner. She is married and the proud mother of two student-athletes; much of her time outside of the studio is spent cheering on her children in hockey and fencing. This blend of clinical excellence and real-life experience fuels her commitment to helping clients return to the activities they love—stronger, more connected, and with renewed confidence in their bodies.
